The HMMA is proud to have been a sponsor of this charity fundraising dinner with silent auction and world premiere concert held August 3rd at the open-air California Plaza in downtown Los Angeles. This event raised over $120,000 dollars for Hands Together, an organization in Haiti that develops educational programs, feeding programs and medical clinics. HMMA nominee's "Journey" is a hit!
Current HMMA nominee and 2011 award recipient composer Austin Wintory worked on his score to the PlayStation3 game JOURNEY for three years, continuously writing and revising the entire time. When the game was released in March 2012, the reaction was explosive. It received dozens and dozens of perfect scores from critics, and the game quickly set video game music sales records.
