Marco Beltrami Wins Best Original Score-Feature Film
(West Hollywood, CA) November 19, 2012 - Two- time Academy-Award™ nominee Marco Beltrami, the composer of the recent Clint Eastwood film Trouble with the Curve, was honored with Best Original Score-Feature Film for Fox Searchlight's The Sessions at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA) on November 15, 2012 at the Fonda Theatre in Hollywood. 2012 HMMA Receives Rave Reviews
HOLLYWOOD, CA- Nov 16, 2012: The Hollywood Music in Media Awards stepped up its game this year at the beautiful and historic Fonda Theater in Hollywood, wowing all in attendance. With a jam-packed celebrity filled red carpet, the event has excelled in stature. Though the HMMA is technically about awards, the evening proved wildly entertaining for the audience. A visual montage of nominated composer clips for film, TV and Video Games opened the show on the big screen, followed by a splashy opening number by host and master musical impressionist Greg London.

HMMA sponsors A Symphony of Hope
The HMMA is proud to have been a sponsor of this charity fundraising dinner with silent auction and world premiere concert held August 3rd at the open-air California Plaza in downtown Los Angeles. This event raised over $120,000 dollars for Hands Together, an organization in Haiti that develops educational programs, feeding programs and medical clinics. HMMA nominee's "Journey" is a hit!
Current HMMA nominee and 2011 award recipient composer Austin Wintory worked on his score to the PlayStation3 game JOURNEY for three years, continuously writing and revising the entire time. When the game was released in March 2012, the reaction was explosive. It received dozens and dozens of perfect scores from critics, and the game quickly set video game music sales records. The soundtrack album leapt to the top of the iTunes charts all over the world, and ended up on the Billboard charts higher than any previous original video game score album. Muppets song wins the Oscar!
Hollywood, CA - Feb 29, 2012: On November 17 of last year at its main awards event, the HMMA presented the Best Soundtrack award to The Muppets movie a week before the film's release.
