Autism is a neuro-developmental disorder and, contrary to popular belief, it is not rare. Autism is the most common developmental disability in the United States. Approximately 1 in 110 children born in the U.S. will be identified with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder by the time they are three years old, making autism one of the fastest-growing childhood disorders.
